Trends watch 2022
We’ve well and truly tied the bow and wrapped up 2021! With the second month of 2022 just around the corner (we can’t believe we’re already saying that!) we’re excited for the interior trends this year will bring. For the last couple of years, the desire for comfort and stability drove our decorating choices – and 2022 will be no different. Spending a considerable amount of time in our homes has encouraged us to reflect on our spaces and we’ve found that we want to create sanctuaries where we feel inspired and nurtured. This year we’re focusing on expressing ourselves to create spaces within our homes that truly feel like ourselves. This might be why we’re seeing the resurgence of handmade and traditional crafts, amongst other key trends.

Tufted Textures
Tufted textures are quite possibly the best example of the resurgence of traditional crafts. A technique that has been used for centuries, this trend is linked to expression and design. We’re already seeing tufted textures dominant across the social sphere with “TuftTok” being a huge trend on TikTok and we don’t see this fun-loving trend going anywhere any time soon. In a previous blog we’ve spoken about how you can bring the outdoors in, this summer, however, this trend is set to stay around all year long! There are proven psychological benefits to adding gorgeous greenery to your space, from positive outlooks to cleared minds. If you’re not an indoor plant aficionado, or simply don’t have the time to be keeping a plant alive (we understand!), artificial plants are perfect for capitalising on the benefit without the commitment.
